About Dr. Asfaw
Located in Chesterfield, MI
Dr. Asfaw is a Michigan native and was born and raised in Metro Detroit. She went to college at Duke University and attended medical school at Wake Forest University, both in North Carolina. She then returned to the Midwest for residency and fellowship.
She completed her General Surgery training in 2013 at Wayne State/DMC and did fellowships in Surgical Critical Care at Cook County Hospital in Chicago and Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Chicago. Dr. Asfaw returned home in 2016 after completing fellowship and worked at the DMC and Ascension Providence for several years before transitioning to vein surgery. She holds board certifications in Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.
In her free time Dr. Asfaw enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling and reading.
